Der Stier ist wild. Der Mann will ihn bezwingen. Zähmen. Fressen. Und das seit Urzeiten. TAURO – ein Kurzfilm über die zweitälteste Beziehung der Menschheitsgeschichte.
The bull is wild. The man wants to subdue him. Tame him. Eat him. And this since the dawn of time. TAURO – a short film about the second-oldest relationship in human history.
Der Bewertungsausschuß hat dem Film einstimmig das höchste Prädikat erteilt.
Alles beginnt mit den Höhlenmalereien von Lascaux. Schon damals tauchte der Stier auf den Wänden der Höhle auf, allerdings als gern gejagtes Nahrungsmittel. Dann aber wird er domestiziert, wird zum mythologischen Wesen, wird zum Kampfstier, wird zum Nutz- und Zuchttier. Mal ist er Jäger, mal Gejagter, und sein Verhältnis zum Menschen bleibt seit Urzeiten eher ambivalent. Diese lange Entwicklung auf wenige Szenen zu reduzieren und zu animieren ist hier vollauf gelungen. Von der Höhlenmalerei über antike Vasenmalerei und Dürers "Geburt Christi im Stall" bis zu Picassos Darstellung des Stierkampfes spannt sich der Bilderbogen. Musik und Schnitt passen genau zusammen, das Timing ist perfekt. Gerne hätte man noch mehr Beispiele aus der Kunst zu diesem Thema gesehen, und manche Bilder aus der Beziehung zwischen Stier und Mensch ziehen viel zu schnell vorüber.

Knapp am Goldenen Spatz vorbei gegangen ist der Film, der wie ein Gang durch ein Museum mit sich bewegenden Bildern ist. Wir finden die Idee kreativ, Mensch und Stier durch die Kunstgeschichte laufen zu lassen. Allein an der Animation konnte man erkennen, in welcher Zeitepoche man sich gerade befindet, und vermischt mit spannender Musik waren Sprachdialoge gar nicht nötig. Der Film war lehrreich und regte zum Malen und sich weiter über Kunstgeschichte informieren an. Vorspann, Titel, Film und Abspann passten sehr gut zueinander. Weil der Beitrag kurz war, wurde er nie langweilig. Die Übergänge zwischen den einzelnen Epochen waren fließend und ließen keine Löcher in der Geschichte. Für Kunstbegeisterte ist der Film genau das Richtige. Deshalb bekommt der Animationsfilm "Tauro" ein großes Lob von uns, der Kinderfilmjury.
